If you're into Gunpla, you've probably dabbled in all sorts of customization – painting, cutting, weathering, you name it. It's all about making your model unique, and even better, blending in other themes to unleash boundless creative freedom!
Today, we're spotlighting Japanese modeler NigoriA (@nigoriA_913), who recently blew up X with his incredible Gunpla mod. He’s taken Char Aznable's iconic Zeong and mashed it up with a "Red Gundam," creating an absolutely epic, jaw-dropping design that has netizens buzzing!
NigoriA explained that his bold build was inspired by the question: "What if the Zeong from Mobile Suit Gundam actually appeared in the 'if' world of Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX?" So, he transplanted the upper body of that red Gundam onto the Zeong, resulting in this maximum-impact custom mobile suit.
You can see how he seamlessly integrated the Red Gundam's torso with the Zeong's skirt armor lower body. The original Zeong's upper half is cleverly repurposed as a backpack, complete with its arms extending out, all painted in a unified red to maintain that signature Char's Custom aesthetic.
Beyond the front view, NigoriA also shared shots from "above" and "below." The modification isn't just daring; the attention to detail is exquisite, making it impossible to look away.
And if that wasn't enough, he went a step further by adding leg parts to create a "Char's Custom Perfect Gundam" version! It totally holds its own against the legendary Perfect Zeong (though that Zeong head does look a *tad* out of place, lol).
