The blockbuster horror franchise "It," which has grossed over $1.1 billion worldwide, is set to expand its universe with the HBO prequel series "It: Welcome to Derry," premiering next month on the 26th. Today, the third trailer and two new key art posters (pictured below) were released. Notably, Pennywise the clown, who was conspicuously absent from the first two trailers, finally makes an appearance at the end of this latest preview.
Andy Muschietti, director of both "It" films, returns as a producer for the series and will personally direct several episodes.

In addition to Andy Muschietti's return as executive producer and director, his sister, Barbara Muschietti, continues as a series creator and producer. Bill Skarsgård reprises his iconic role as Pennywise. Jason Fuchs, co-writer of the first "Wonder Woman" film, and Brad Kane, co-writer of the HBO series "Tokyo Vice," serve as co-showrunners for the entire series.
"Welcome to Derry" draws from ancillary stories within Stephen King's original novel, exploring Pennywise's origins. The series is planned for at least three seasons, with the first season set in 1962, the second in 1935, and the third in 1908, tracing the timeline backward.
