Gunpla Master Morish Unleashes "GQuuuuuuX Cosmic Hyaku-Shiki" – A Gelgoog and Delta Gundam Mashup!

We’ve previously featured the incredible work of X (formerly Twitter) user morish (@O15RXnhQL8nvfYW), the GBWC 2023 (11th) Japan champion. His "Gundam Dynames Physical II " and "GQuuuuuuX Sharon's Rose Kshatriya" builds blew us away with their professional craftsmanship and intricate lore, showcasing a master at the top of his game.

Recently, morish dropped his latest masterpiece: a custom mobile suit called "GQuuuuuuX Cosmic Hyaku-Shiki." This fresh build takes Bandai's "HG 1/144 Gelgoog" from the GQuuuuuuX series as its foundation, then mashes it up with the iconic Hyaku-Shiki concept from Mobile Suit Z Gundam. The fusion of these elements creates a totally new look that's already earning rave reviews from fans.

Morish's vision for this "GQuuuuuuX Cosmic Hyaku-Shiki" was simple yet brilliant: "What if the Hyaku-Shiki appeared in the GQuuuuuuX universe?" In his lore, it's a primary mobile suit for the Anti-Federation organization "AEUG," formed by Char and Sharian after Char's return to Zeon.

For this custom build, the main body combines elements of the GQuuuuuuX Gelgoog with the Delta Gundam from Mobile Suit Gundam UC, all sculpted to evoke the Hyaku-Shiki's distinctive silhouette.

The head unit comes from the Harute Gundam from Mobile Suit Gundam 00 The Movie -A wakening of the Trailblazer-, with the visor painted black to give it that classic "Char wearing sunglasses" vibe.

Some parts incorporate new equipment from the GQuuuuuuX system. The wing binders on the back were originally designed for a transformable mobile suit, boosting not only mobility but also allowing for short-term flight in gravity environments.

This setup even allows for MAV (Mobile Armor Vehicle) tactics with the "Blue Zeta Gundam," recreating that epic scene where it rides on the back of a Zeta Gundam in Wave Rider mode, plunging through the atmosphere together.

And of course, a mandatory photo op with the Zeta Gundam!

It's clear this cross-series creative mashup delivers fantastic results. Morish's meticulous background story and detailed settings make this fictional "GQuuuuuuX Cosmic Hyaku-Shiki" feel incredibly plausible.
