The first installment, "Hathaway's Flash," blew audiences away when it premiered in Japan back in June 2021. Critics and fans alike raved about its breathtaking visuals, Hathaway's intense personal struggles, and a story so immersive you could practically feel the mobile suit battles. It even smashed box office records, raking in over 2.23 billion Japanese Yen – making it the second-highest-grossing Gundam film at the time (now sitting pretty at fourth).
Whispers of a sequel started circulating almost immediately after the first film's release, leading many to believe it was a simultaneous production. But man, what a wait it's been! Still, it's finally happening, and we couldn't be more hyped!
The new trailer gives us a tantalizing glimpse: Hathaway, still grappling with Gigi's memory, pushes forward with Mafty's agenda. Kensho Ono (Hathaway Noa)
「Everything is already insane.」
This is a man who questions the very fabric of the world, shouldering the agonizing burden of 「what is justice?」 and 「what is the point of fighting?」 all by himself. And now, Gigi's presence is slowly unraveling his composure. Is the world truly insane, or is it him? Get ready to find out when the movie hits!
Reina Ueda (Gigi Andalucia)
Does she even grasp the sheer power she holds to sway the entire conflict? There are lines where it sounds like she's almost playing with the name 「Hathaway Noa,」 yet beneath that, you can sense her deep internal struggle and complex thoughts. I hope everyone gets to see the many sides of Gigi in this film.
Junichi Suwabe (Kenneth Sleg)
