Paramount Pictures has released the second trailer and a brand-new promotional poster for "The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants," the sixth cinematic installment in the beloved "SpongeBob SquarePants" franchise.
"The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants" is set to hit North American theaters on December 19. The film's story follows SpongeBob SquarePants as he embarks on a seafaring adventure with the legendary ghost pirate, the Flying Dutchman, to prove his bravery to Mr. Krabs. Their journey takes them to the deepest parts of the ocean, exploring uncharted territories.

Directed by longtime "SpongeBob SquarePants" writer Derek Drymon, the film sees the return of original voice cast members including Tom Kenny as SpongeBob, Bill Fagerbakke as Patrick Star, Carolyn Lawrence as Sandy Cheeks, Clancy Brown as Mr. Krabs, and Mr. Lawrence as Plankton. Mark Hamill joins the cast to voice the Flying Dutchman. Additional new cast members include Regina Hall, George Lopez, rapper Ice Spice, and Arturo Castro. Ice Spice also performs the film's theme song, "Big Guy."
