The original anime series "Girls und Panzer," which boldly combined the seemingly mismatched elements of "high school girls" and "tanks," has been rolling strong for over a decade since its TV debut. The theatrical run of "Girls und Panzer das Finale" is currently up to Part 4, with the six-part saga still ongoing.
Today (11/16), the official announcement dropped: "Girls und Panzer das Finale" Part 5 is slated to hit theaters in 2026, marking the highly anticipated return of the theatrical series after a three-year wait.
The newly revealed teaser visual shows protagonist Miho Nishizumi inside her Panzer IV Ausf. H (modified D-type), facing off against tanks from St. Gloriana Girls' Academy—including the British Churchill Mk.VII infantry tank. The tension for the Winter Continuous Track Cup finals is already palpable!
In other news, the main visual for the spin-off anime film, "Girls und Panzer: More Love Love Operation!" (ガールズ＆パンツァー もっとらぶらぶ作戦です！), Chapter 1, which premieres on December 26, has also been unveiled. This vibrant image captures a distinctly youthful vibe at Anzio High's "Spanish Steps."
For "Girls und Panzer" fans, there's no shortage of tankery action to look forward to, with both the main series and spin-off films on the horizon. Get ready for an epic year of Tankery!
