Get ready, Trainers! The "Dimensional Surge" DLC for Pokémon Legends Z-A is almost here, officially launching on December 10, 2025. Just ahead of its release, The Pokémon Company has unleashed a final wave of epic updates, revealing everything from how to snag those coveted Hoenn starter Mega Stones in Ranked Battles to a special limited-time gift of a massive "Boss" Charizard. Let's dive in!
Want to Mega Evolve your favorite Hoenn pals? You'll need to hit the "Z-A Battle Club" in online mode and climb the ranks in "Ranked Battles"! As you level up, you'll sequentially unlock the Mega Stones for the Hoenn starters: Sceptile, Blaziken, and Swampert.
These aren't your everyday finds! Just like before, these three Mega Stones are exclusive seasonal rank-up rewards, not obtainable through regular gameplay. Mark your calendars: Season 5 kicks off with Sceptile's Mega Stone, followed by Swampert's in Season 6, and Blaziken's in Season 7. Don't sweat it if you miss out – they'll make a comeback in future seasons! Just remember, you can only hold one of each Mega Stone, so no double-dipping!
But wait, there's more! The DLC's new story content will also feature these fan-favorite Hoenn starters, making Mega Evolution a crucial part of your team's strategy once again.
And to celebrate the official launch of "Dimensional Surge," The Pokémon Company is dishing out a special gift! From December 9th at 10:00 PM UTC until January 19, 2026, all players can snag a "Large-sized Charizard (Boss)"! Just head to the "Mystery Gift" feature in-game and punch in the password "B1G0006" to claim your fiery friend!
This awesome gift is available across all versions, whether you're playing "Pokémon Legends Z-A" or the "Z-A Nintendo Switch 2 Edition." Just a heads-up: the password is a one-time use deal! Make sure your console is connected to the internet and linked to a Nintendo Account. Oh, and the "Mystery Gift" function typically unlocks after about an hour of gameplay, so you won't have to wait long!
