CCP JAPAN Apologizes for "Wrong Hand Gesture" on Ultraman Seven Figure – Fans Stunned: "There's a Right Way?"

Tsuburaya Productions is gearing up for a massive celebration as the Ultraman franchise hits its 60th anniversary on July 10, 2026! With various projects and events already rolling out, the buzz is real.

But amidst all the excitement, a popular character from the series, Ultraman Seven, has unexpectedly sparked a debate due to a "hand gesture" flaw on a new figure from manufacturer CCP JAPAN. What's got everyone talking? Turns out, a lot of fans had no idea there was even a "correct" way to do the pose!

The figure in question is CCP JAPAN's "1/6 Tokusatsu Series" Vol.112, featuring the "Ultraman Seven Emerium Ray Anti-Magnetic Ray Ver.," which recently launched in Japan.

However, CCP JAPAN recently issued an apology, confirming that some of the shipped products had their fingers overlapping in the wrong direction.

The official statement included "correct/incorrect" comparison photos, explaining: "The correct posture should have the left hand's fingers in front, but some products were shipped with the right hand's fingers in front." They even provided a link with instructions on how to fix it yourself using a hairdryer. "We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused and will strive to prevent similar situations from happening again," the company stated.

Indeed, when Ultraman Seven unleashes his Emerium Ray, his left hand's fingers are traditionally in front.

While CCP JAPAN was quick to apologize for the quality control slip-up, many netizens confessed they had no idea the pose had such strict rules: "I always thought the fingers were just on either side of the light, firing from the middle," one user commented. Another added, "Honestly, I just found out the fingers actually cross." A third chimed in, "First time knowing there's a right and wrong for this pose, thanks for the info..."

It seems many fans believed the fingers were simply "separated" and resting next to the forehead light, not directly crossed over it. Some even jokingly suggested that these "flawed" products might become rare and valuable collector's items!

For many fans, this unexpected revelation about the strictness of the Emerium Ray pose was a surprising, yet fun, piece of Ultraman Seven trivia to add to their knowledge!
