Aoshima Bunka Kyozai "PLAfig. Godzilla (2001)" Precisely Sculpted to Recreate the Ferocious White-Eyed God of Destruction Pose, Includes "Heart" Bonus Part!

Aoshima Bunka Kyozai of Japan has announced the latest product from its new assembly model series, "PLAfig.", which aims for ultimate sculpting, the "Godzilla (2001)" from the movie "Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack", scheduled for release in June 2026.

The Godzilla that appeared in "Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack" stands 60 meters tall and is set as an aggregate of vengeful spirits sacrificed during the Pacific War. It possesses a ferocious head sculpt, white eyes, and hates humanity to the extent of directly spewing its heat ray at crowds. Its personality is also quite cruel and cunning; it remembers opponents' attack patterns, feigning to fall for a move when the opponent strikes again, then seizing the opportunity to deliver a fatal blow. In the film, it successively battled three Sacred Guardian Beasts and the Japan Self-Defense Forces, sustaining only minor superficial injuries, making it one of the few truly despair-inducing "Gods of Destruction" Godzilla.

The "PLAfig. Godzilla (2001)" is also sculpted by Japanese sculptor RYO (Nendo Seijin), known for his expertise in animal and monster designs. Utilizing highly precise, completely new molds, the parts extensively reproduce the intricate details of the original sculpt, faithfully recreating this version of Godzilla's ferocious facial features, the texture of its rough skin across its entire body, each biologically realistic dorsal fin, and its powerful, muscular legs.

Once assembled, the kit forms a non-articulated model approximately 13 cm tall. It features a single dark gray molded color for its parts, with areas such as the eyes, mouth, and dorsal fins requiring self-painting.

The product's outer box features original box art illustrated by "TAKA-F", depicting the model in the same pose. Additionally, a special bonus part, the "heart" that remained pulsating on the seabed after Godzilla's explosion at the end of the film, will be included. The limited edition sold on AOSHIMA ONLINE SHOP further includes a set of "clear molded dorsal fin parts".
