Tite Kubo's manga "BLEACH" might have wrapped years ago, but its popularity hasn't faded one bit. Fans are still hyped, especially with the final anime season, "BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War – The Conflict," set to drop in July 2026.
Well, today (April 1st) the official word dropped: the hilarious April Fool's Day school-themed parody, "BLEACH THE HIGH SCHOOL WARFARE," is officially getting a novel! Titled "DON’T BLEACH MY FIST 1," it's slated for a June 4th release. Plus, the "JUMP j BOOKS" novel imprint has already posted a sneak peek of the opening chapters on their note website.

This isn't the first time this novelization project has popped up on April 1st; it was announced last year too, leaving fans scratching their heads about its authenticity.

Announcing it again on April 1st, especially since "BLEACH THE HIGH SCHOOL WARFARE" *started* as an April Fool's gag, sent fans into a total frenzy! Comments flooded in like, "Is this for real or not? I can't tell anymore!" "School parodies already exist, so it's probably true, but the timing is *so* deliberate LOL," and "Wait, this actually looks like a serious announcement!?" It's a mix of confusion and pure excitement all around.
The novel will dive into this school-themed world, chronicling the intense encounters and fierce showdowns between Gotei High freshman Ichigo Kurosaki and Star Cross Academy newcomer "Jo Hyozaki."
The novel is being penned by none other than Ryohgo Narita, known for his fast-paced, character-packed works like the "BACCANO!" series and "Durarara!!". He's a master of ensemble casts, so seeing him tackle a "BLEACH" school edition is definitely something to look forward to!

So yes, the novel is absolutely real, despite the April Fool's announcement that initially made everyone doubt it. If you're eager to get a taste, you can check out the opening chapters on the official "JUMP j BOOKS" note website.
