Nintendo's iconic shooter series, Splatoon, has garnered critical acclaim for its unique gameplay, distinctive art style, engaging battle mechanics, and catchy music.
Today (4/21), Nintendo announced that the latest spin-off in the Splatoon series, "Splatoon Raiders," an exclusive title for the Nintendo Switch 2, will launch on July 23rd this year. Alongside the announcement, they also dropped some fresh gameplay footage.
This marks the first spin-off in the Splatoon franchise, set in the enigmatic "Vortex Archipelago." Players will step into the shoes of a brand-new protagonist, "The Mechanic," joining forces with the "Deep Cut" trio (すりみ連合) on a grand treasure-hunting adventure.
The newly revealed gameplay footage showcases exciting features like a "Salmonid-tier" dungeon system and the ability to customize and expand your base ship. Overall, the gameplay looks far more diverse than the main series, offering a fresh new direction for Splatoon. Definitely one to keep an eye on!
