Recently, Japanese cosplayer Glico (@Glico_happy) took to X (formerly Twitter) with an Asuka cosplay that's anything but ordinary. She rocked the "rare inflatable puffy plugsuit" version, and the unexpected look had netizens absolutely losing it! Comments like "Kaji-san wouldn't even notice you, lol" quickly made her a viral sensation.
Glico (@Glico_happy) is actually known for her diverse range of EVA pilot suit cosplays. While her latest Asuka rendition is certainly making waves, it's definitely not the sleek, form-fitting suit most people picture first!

The specific version she chose is the D-type equipment plugsuit, which first appeared in Episode 10 of the TV anime, "Magma Diver." In the show, hitting a button on the wrist injects coolant, causing the entire suit to inflate into a giant sphere to withstand extreme heat and pressure.
And Glico's cosplay? It's genuinely inflatable, puffing up like a massive balloon! Watching her waddle around is an absolute riot, looking exactly like something out of a hilarious sumo wrestling segment on a variety show.
