Nishio Ishin x Asuka Izumi's "Magical High Schooler B.T." One-Shot Lands in Ultra Jump, Based on Hirohiko Araki's "Magical Boy B.T."

Get ready for a fresh take on a classic! A brand-new one-shot manga, "Magical High Schooler B.T." (魔高校生ビーティー), hits shelves today, May 19th, in the June issue of Ultra Jump. This exciting collaboration features a story by the legendary Nishio Ishin, art by "The Promised Neverland" creator Asuka Izumi, and is based on the early work of none other than Hirohiko Araki, "Magical Boy B.T."

This powerhouse trio has completely reinterpreted Araki's debut-era masterpiece, giving it a unique flair that's already got fans buzzing!

For those unfamiliar, "Magical Boy B.T." was a short story by Hirohiko Araki first published in "Fresh Jump" in 1982, followed by a short serialization in "Weekly Shonen Jump" the next year, eventually collected into a single volume. The story follows BT, a mysterious transfer student who masterfully wields various magic tricks and schemes. Along with his friend Koichi, BT finds himself embroiled in all sorts of bizarre and adventurous incidents.

Interestingly, Nishio Ishin and Asuka Izumi have actually teamed up before on "Magical Boy B.T."-themed one-shots. This latest installment, "Magical High Schooler B.T.," transports the action to London, delving into BT's high school days.

And that's not all! This issue of Ultra Jump also comes with a bonus clear file featuring "Magical Good Guy B.T." and "Magical High Schooler B.T."

Plus, mark your calendars! A collected volume titled "Magical Old Gentleman B.T." (魔老紳士B.T.), which compiles Nishio Ishin and Asuka Izumi's previous "BT" series one-shots, is slated for release on June 18th.
