Turns out, the "fake Rising Volt Tacklers" from the episode title are actually a family of huge fans! They've been cosplaying as the Rising Volt Tacklers (ライジングボルテッカーズ), helping people around town, and even landed on TV, leading Liko and co. to initially believe they were being impersonated.
The family's mom dressed up as Liko, the dad as Dot, the eldest son as Roy, and their youngest kid even transformed into a Sableye! They showed up in full cosplay, ready to roll.
And get this: the parents are actually elite trainers themselves, aiming to challenge the Pokémon League!
Seriously, this mom's cosplay of Liko is spot-on! While she looks a bit older, her charm absolutely rivals the real Liko, and fans are going wild, praising the production team for knowing *exactly* what they want with this "Wife Liko" reveal. LOL!
Who knew the cosplaying girl's mom would be *this* adorable?!
Some netizens are even saying "Wife Liko" is even *more* alluring than the original! It's giving major vibes from when Lana's mom and Lillie's mom Lusamine first appeared in "Pokémon Sun & Moon" – remember that hype?!
It seems the "mom" characters in the Pokémon anime series always hit different for fans!
And naturally, some fans are already predicting an influx of... *ahem*... "questionable" fan art featuring "Wife Liko." You know the drill!
All we can say is, the production team clearly knows what the people want! Pokémon character designs, always sparking... *imagination*, eh?
