If you're a die-hard Gundam fan, chances are you've seen the original TV anime, Mobile Suit Gundam. This nearly 50-year-old classic left a huge mark, but let's be real, the production quality back then meant some hilarious "animation breakdowns" that fans still crack up about today.
Enter Twitter user ToMoS (@ToMoS_Qkit), a master of quirky Gunpla creations. They've just dropped a "1/100 Mass Production Zaku" model that perfectly captures one of those iconic, slightly-off-model moments from the anime's 10th episode. And seriously, the internet is loving this adorable recreation!

This particular Zaku comes from Episode 10, "Garma's Death." Due to the inconsistent animation quality of the era, this flag-waving, running Zaku became an instant legend, a prime example of those charming "animation quirks" that make old anime so special.

ToMoS is known for using "old kits"—Gunpla from the 80s—for their builds. They've brilliantly sculpted the Zaku to match that slightly rounded, off-kilter look from the anime, complete with a paint job that screams retro cel animation.
But the real genius? Those proportions! Check out those short, stubby arms paired with those wide, chunky legs. Are we calling those "thicc thighs" on a Zaku now?

Seriously, that back view is giving off some serious "girly" vibes, LOL.

So, what do you think of this creative masterpiece? Isn't it awesome to see Gunpla art inspired by the unique "animation characteristics" of classic anime? This could be some serious inspo for all you Gunpla builders out there. Time to get weird with your next project!
