MODEROID "Crimson Knight Testa-Rossa" Plastic Model Kit from The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel Fully Revealed!

MECHA SMILE, the Japanese brand behind the 'MODEROID' plastic model kit series, has announced the upcoming release of their latest product from the RPG "The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel": the "Crimson Knight" Testa-Rossa, slated for December 2026.

The "Crimson Knight" Testa-Rossa is one of seven colossal knight-type mobile weapons, legendarily crafted to divide and seal the immensely powerful yet unstable Steel Sept-Terrion, the 'Great Power.' Approximately 900 years ago, in S.1. 371, Emperor Hector I piloted the Crimson Knight to defeat the "Dark Dragon," which had turned Heimdallr into a city of death with its miasma. However, the Emperor succumbed to a curse, and the Crimson Knight itself became tainted, subsequently sealed beneath the Imperial Palace. It remained dormant until S.1. 947, during the Lion War, when the "False Emperor" Orthrus activated the Crimson Knight to combat other Divine Knights, using forbidden arts to transform it into the demon god, the "Crimson End Demon Lord."

The MODEROID "Crimson Knight" Testa-Rossa is assembled using multi-colored molded parts, clear parts, and pre-painted components. Standing at approximately 18 cm tall upon completion, the kit meticulously recreates its heavy, armor-like design and the elegant engraved lines adorning its body. Various gem details are rendered with clear parts, while the tassel-like ornamentation on the back of its head is sculpted to evoke dynamic, flowing hair. Featuring articulated joints throughout its body, the model can be posed in various dynamic combat stances using its multiple interchangeable hand parts and its dedicated "Knight Sword" weapon.
