Japanese model manufacturers Good Smile Company and Max Factory have announced their latest character model kit in the co-developed "PLAMATEA" series: "Black Honey" from "Cutie Honey Nova," slated for release in December 2026.
"Cutie Honey Nova" is a new project launched in 2024 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Go Nagai's iconic manga "Cutie Honey." This collaborative effort by Dynamic Planning, Hobby Japan, and Good Smile Company features character redesigns by artist Nadare Takamine. The following year, manga artist Naoto Tsushima began serializing a new manga of the same name on Hobby Japan Web. Good Smile Company's "PLAMATEA" model kit series began releasing various characters, including Cutie Honey herself, starting in 2026.
The "Black Honey" joining the PLAMATEA lineup is a mysterious warrior who first appeared in Chapter 14 of the manga, interrupting the battle between Cutie Honey and Sister Jill. This kit features multi-colored molded parts and pre-painted sections, assembling into a 17cm tall figure. It faithfully recreates Nadare Takamine's design, showcasing her voluptuous curves and new mechanical-infused armor. The sculpt meticulously details the navel indentation on her abdomen, while transparent parts are used for sections of the armor on her chest and thighs. The head sculpt also includes interchangeable bangs to display her with or without her mask.
Accessories include multiple interchangeable hand parts, four different pre-painted face plates, and four blank face plates for custom expressions using water-slide decals. Her arsenal features a Tachi, Uchigatana, Rapier, Greatsword, Boomerang, and two handguns. Thanks to universal joint pegs, the scabbard and both handguns can be mounted on her thighs or the back of her waist. Combined with the highly articulated body, collectors can pose her in a variety of dynamic and alluring combat stances.
