Japanese model kit manufacturers Good Smile Company and Max Factory, co-developers of the "PLAMATEA" character model kit series, have announced their latest product: the "Kisaragi Honey" model kit from "Cutie Honey Nova," slated for release in November 2026.
"Cutie Honey Nova" is a new project launched in 2024 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Go Nagai's iconic manga, "Cutie Honey." This collaborative effort by Dynamic Planning, Hobby Japan, and Good Smile Company features character redesigns by artist Nadare Takamine. The following year, manga artist Naoto Tsushima began serializing a new manga of the same name on Hobby Japan Web. Good Smile Company's "PLAMATEA" series of model kits, including "Cutie Honey" and other characters, began rolling out in 2026.
This PLAMATEA release features protagonist "Kisaragi Honey" in her pre-transformation form. The kit utilizes multi-colored molded parts and some pre-painted components, assembling into a 17 cm tall figure. It faithfully recreates Nadare Takamine's design, capturing her voluptuous physique. Her blue-toned outfit incorporates clear blue parts for details like the flowing ribbons and side skirts. The kit includes multiple interchangeable hand parts, four different pre-painted face plates, and four blank face plates for custom expressions using water-slide decals.
The kit's biggest highlight is the inclusion of interchangeable parts to recreate various states of her body. For the chest, in addition to the normal state, you can swap in parts for "zipper open," "fabric torn," and "torn with dynamic movement" effects. The skirt offers three options: "hard plastic," "soft plastic," and "torn soft plastic," allowing for a wide range of scene recreations. Additionally, the kit comes with Honey's butler robot, "Blade Scan." Not only can Honey ride it like a surfboard, but its deployable mechanical arms, arm rings, and dedicated connecting parts also allow for recreating Kisaragi Honey's fixed "maintenance" state.
