Japanese toy company Alphamax (アルファマックス株式会社) is expanding its 1/12 scale cloth action figure line, "Zetsudou Kyuuta," with the highly anticipated "Ultraman Gaia V1" from the classic tokusatsu series "Ultraman Gaia." This new figure is set to debut at the Hong Kong Ani-Com & Games Expo 2026. Also announced from the same series is the equally exciting "Ultraman Agul V1."
Ultraman Gaia V1 represents Gaia's initial form, with Gamu Takayama as his human host. Born from the Earth's will, this Giant of Light sports a distinctive red, silver, and gold color scheme, embodying the planet's original radiance. In this form, Gaia possesses well-balanced combat capabilities. He later permanently evolved into his V2 form after acquiring the power of the ocean, previously wielded by Ultraman Agul.
Standing approximately 16.5 cm tall, the "Zetsudou Kyuuta Ultraman Gaia V1" figure meticulously recreates his iconic red, silver, and gold primary colors using a full cloth outfit. Compared to the previously released "Zetsudou Kyuuta Ultraman Gaia V2," this V1 iteration features refined proportions and enhanced articulation. It also includes the line's signature light-up features, with magnetic LED effects for both the eyes and the chest timer. The chest timer can switch between blue and red lights and now boasts an added "crushed diamond" effect, a notable upgrade from the V2 version. The figure comes packed with a wealth of accessories, including a classic transformation landing effect, the barrier effect seen in TV Episode 18, the Triple Attack Gaia Cut, a Gaia Blizzard effect, the Photon Edge (Photon Blade), a half-effect part for recreating beam clashes with Agul's ray, a display stand, and an Esplender-shaped magnetic switch for the lights.
