Japanese toy company Alphamax (アルファマックス株式会社) has announced the latest addition to its 1/12 scale cloth figure series, "Absolute Motion Ultimate Body" (絕動究體): "Ultraman Agul V1" from the tokusatsu series "Ultraman Gaia." This highly anticipated figure will debut at the Hong Kong Ani-Com & Games Festival 2026. Also announced from the same series is "Ultraman Gaia V1"!
Ultraman Agul V1 first appeared in episode 3 of the "Ultraman Gaia" TV series, transformed by Hiroya Fujimiya. As a warrior of light born from the Earth's will, just like Gaia, Agul represents the power of the ocean. Early in the series, misled by the Radical Destruction Bringer, Agul believed humanity to be a cancer on Earth, putting him in opposition to Gaia. After realizing the deception, he temporarily lost his fighting spirit and entrusted the power of the ocean to Gamu Takayama (Gaia's host), allowing him to transform into Gaia V2. Later in the story, Agul regained his resolve to protect Earth, reacquired the power of the ocean, and transformed into Agul V2, becoming a comrade-in-arms with Gaia in safeguarding Earth's peace.
The "Absolute Motion Ultimate Body Ultraman Agul V1" figure stands approximately 16.5 cm tall. It faithfully recreates Agul's signature blue, silver, and black colors, symbolizing the power of the ocean, using a full cloth suit. Compared to the V2 version, this figure boasts enhanced articulation. It includes the series' signature light-up features, with magnetic control for the eyes and chest Color Timer. The chest Color Timer can switch between blue and red lights and features a new crushed diamond effect, an upgrade from the V2 version. Accessories include a ground impact effect part (similar to Gaia's), the Agul Blade molded in blue translucent plastic, a light-up Liquidator effect with its own stand, a Photon Crusher effect with a partial head sculpt, a half-beam clash effect for recreating battles with Gaia, a display stand, a magnetic light switch shaped like Agul's transformation device (the Agulater), and the most exciting inclusion: the head sculpt of the fake Agul, as transformed by the metal lifeform Arguros in TV episode 16! This head perfectly captures Arguros' iconic asymmetrical evil grin!
