US toy giant Hasbro recently announced a new licensing partnership with Nintendo, bringing forth new merchandise from the popular "The Legend of Zelda" video game series! Kicking off the brand-new 6-inch action figure line, dubbed "Heroes of Hyrule," the first wave features three new figures from "The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom": "Link," "Princess Zelda," and "Ganondorf." These are slated for release in early May 2027!
Princess Zelda is the eponymous princess of the Hyrule Kingdom and a pivotal character in the story. After the seal was broken, she unexpectedly traveled to an ancient era, joining forces with the first king, Rauru, to fight against the Demon King. To restore the Master Sword's power and ensure its legacy for the future, she chose to swallow a Secret Stone, transforming into the White Dragon. In this form, she guarded the sacred blade through countless ages, entrusting the hope of saving the world to Link.
The "The Legend of Zelda: Heroes of Hyrule Princess Zelda" figure stands approximately 15 cm tall. It faithfully recreates her Zonai attire and short-haired look from her journey through time, with intricate accessories meticulously reproduced using paint and tampo printing techniques. The elbows feature double-joint articulation. While the skirt design limits leg mobility, the figure still includes double-jointed knees and calf swivels. Accessories include a damaged Master Sword and an interchangeable right hand for holding it.
