TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS company, has announced the latest addition to their popular "Soul of Chogokin" alloy toy series: the "GX-121 Combattler V6," based on the classic robot anime "Chodenji Robo Combattler V." This new release is slated for February 2027.
Combattler V is a colossal combining robot developed by Dr. Nambara with UN assistance, utilizing super electromagnetic power to counter the subterranean Earth invaders, the Campbellian Aliens. He assembled the "Battle Team" from across Japan, recruiting Hyouma Aoi, Juzo Naniwa, Daisaku Nishikawa, Kosuke Kita, and his own granddaughter Chizuru Nambara, to pilot the five combat machines. Once combined into Combattler V, the team can wield its formidable armor and powerful super electromagnetic energy to combat the Campbellian army's bio-weapons and battle machines.

The "Combattler V6," making its initial appearance in Yuichi Hasegawa's manga series "Chodenji Taisen Victory Five," features a brand-new 6th machine, the "Battle Armor," which was not present in the original anime. This Battle Armor disassembles into several additional armor pieces that magnetically attach to various parts of Combattler V's body, forming the even more powerful 6-machine combined form, "Combattler V6." For this release, Bandai and Toei Animation have collaborated on a "Chodenji Robo Combattler V" 50th Anniversary animated short, which re-imagines Combattler V6's proportions and overall details with modern robot design aesthetics.
The "Soul of Chogokin GX-121 Combattler V6" inherits and refines the transformation and combination mechanisms of the five Battle Machines: Battle Jet, Battle Crusher, Battle Tank, Battle Marine, and Battle Craft. It thoroughly revamps the exterior designs of each machine with newly sculpted parts and adds the completely new 6th machine, the "Battle Armor." In their separated forms, each machine boasts excellent aesthetics with details like clear cockpit canopies and tire treads. Collectors can choose to combine them into either the classic "Combattler V" or the enhanced "Combattler V6" by incorporating the 6th machine.
Once combined, the figure stands at an impressive 26 cm tall, with highly flexible joints that allow for dynamic battle poses. Accessories include classic armaments such as the "Chodenji Yo-Yo" and "Twin Lancer," along with electromagnetic effect parts. By deploying the blade-like additional armor on its arms and attaching drill parts to its hands, collectors can recreate the enhanced version of its signature attack, the "Chodenji Spin."
