Japan's Good Smile Company has announced the upcoming release of the Nendoroid Hatsune Miku: Monitoring Ver., based on her appearance in the "Monitoring" (モニタリング) music video. This highly anticipated Nendoroid is slated for a January 2027 release.
"Monitoring", a track by DECO*27, was uploaded to various video platforms on November 22, 2024. The lyrics feature Hatsune Miku, portraying a schoolgirl, peering through a peephole and expressing a twisted sense of care and affection to the listener on the other side of the door. Its highly suggestive lyrics and psychedelic visuals garnered immense attention, reaching 10 million views on YouTube within just 27 days of its upload and inspiring numerous fan-created works. Following its success, the "Monitoring (Best Friend Remix)" was released on September 5, 2025, achieving 1 million views in a mere six hours, making it the fastest VOCALOID song to reach that milestone on YouTube!
Standing approximately 10 cm tall, the Nendoroid Hatsune Miku: Monitoring Ver. faithfully recreates her brown school uniform from the music video. Good Smile Company's signature high-quality tampography technology perfectly captures her most iconic facial expressions, flawlessly reproducing her freckles, eye patch, and mesmerizing pupils. The Nendoroid comes with three distinct face plates: the haunting "Peeking Face," the emotionally charged "Smiling Face," and the serene "Closed-Eyes Smiling Face." Combined with accessories like a "smartphone" and a "bouquet," along with various hand parts, fans can recreate a multitude of poses from the MV!
