Chadwick Boseman, who rose to fame portraying Marvel superhero "Black Panther," tragically passed away six years ago from colon cancer. However, his death continues to send ripple effects, with a new dispute emerging over his estate. Recently, Boseman's two brothers, Derrick Boseman and Kevin Boseman, have reportedly filed a lawsuit against his widow, Taylor Simone Ledward (pictured right, below), accusing her of improperly handling his multi-million dollar estate and failing to adequately distribute funds to various family members.

According to court documents reviewed by The Los Angeles Times, Derrick and Kevin submitted the complaint last week on behalf of their parents, Leroy Boseman and Carolyn Boseman. They assert that their parents are each entitled to 25% of Chadwick's estate, while Ledward should inherit 50%. The estate's assets reportedly include backend profits from his acting work, royalties, intellectual property rights for his likeness, investments, insurance policies, personal property, and funds held across multiple bank accounts. As Boseman died without a will, his estate is directly co-inherited by his parents and Ledward.

The lawsuit further alleges that Ledward, who was designated as the estate administrator, has never fully and accurately distributed Chadwick's assets and continues to maintain complete control over them. Derrick (pictured above) and Kevin (pictured above) are seeking a court order to compel Ledward to distribute the remaining estate and to remove her from her position as administrator, transferring the responsibility to a private trustee and forensic accountant, as they no longer trust her to manage the estate.
Derrick and Kevin also stated that because they have not fully received their rightful share of the inheritance, they are currently unable to pursue "business opportunities that would benefit their elderly parents."
