TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS, has unveiled the latest information for a new product in their METAL ROBOT Damashii series: the "Z'Gok (SEED FREEDOM Ver.)" from the theatrical anime "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM." This figure, which combines metallic paintwork with an alloy frame, is slated for release in December 2026, with pre-orders opening soon on Bandai's official online store, PREMIUM BANDAI.
While the "Z'Gok" appearing in the film sports a design reminiscent of its original "Mobile Suit Gundam" counterpart, it is actually a disguised form of the "ZGMF-X191M2 Infinite Justice Gundam Type-II." This mobile suit is an upgraded version of Athrun Zala's previous unit, the "Infinite Justice Gundam," incorporating Orb's latest technology. It features an all-around monitor cockpit, VPS armor, and significantly revamped exterior armor details, including a large beam horn on its head for surprise attacks. Its backpack has also been replaced with the new "M2X32E VOLANTES" thruster pack. However, due to its nuclear-powered engine, which violates the Junius Treaty, the unit must operate discreetly, hence its Z'Gok disguise.
The "METAL ROBOT Damashii Z'Gok (SEED FREEDOM Ver.)" condenses its partial alloy frame and anime-accurate, intricate sculpting into an approximate 1/144 scale. It meticulously recreates the Z'Gok's characteristic rounded armor silhouette and bellows-structured limb joints. Furthermore, several detailed areas, such as the ankles, subtly reveal the underlying Infinite Justice Gundam Type-II. The entire figure boasts extensive color applications and body markings, conveying the heavy, realistic feel of a military weapon.
As for accessories, the set currently includes a battle-damaged head part for recreating its damaged state, red claw replacement parts to depict the "Zangeki Claw" armaments in their activated form, and the new "M2X32E VOLANTES" thruster pack, which can be mounted on the back for the Infinite Justice Gundam Type-II.
