Japanese manufacturer Bright Communication is launching a new capsule toy series, the "SEGA Saturn Miniature Collection," shrinking down SEGA's classic 1994 home console along with iconic games like "Virtua Fighter," "Sakura Wars," "NiGHTS into Dreams...," and "Guardian Heroes." The collection features a total of six items, priced at 400 JPY per try, and is set to hit capsule machines starting in July 2026.
The SEGA Saturn was SEGA's 32-bit home console from the 1990s, a CD-ROM-based machine that went head-to-head with Sony in the generation dominated by the PlayStation. Beyond its unique console and controller design, it was the birthplace of numerous titles still beloved by gamers today. This "SEGA Saturn Miniature Collection" not only recreates the hardware's appearance but also shrinks down the original jewel cases and game discs, allowing collectors to relive the nostalgic ritual of opening a case and placing a disc into the console, all in the palm of their hand.
The collection includes two versions of the console, gray and white, corresponding to the iconic looks of the SEGA Saturn from different periods of its life. Both miniature consoles feature a functional, opening top lid. By pressing the button, the disc bay opens, allowing you to place one of the included mini game discs inside, adding a fantastic interactive element to what would otherwise be a static model.

The software lineup features four legendary titles: "Virtua Fighter," "Sakura Wars," "NiGHTS into Dreams...," and "Guardian Heroes." Each comes with a miniature replica of its jewel case, and the tiny disc can be removed and placed into the mini console for display. Notably, "Sakura Wars," "NiGHTS into Dreams...," and "Guardian Heroes" all celebrate their 30th anniversary in 2026, adding a special commemorative value to this release.
