Hong Kong-based toy manufacturer threezero is set to release a new addition to its "MDLX" action figure line in October 2026: a limited edition "Ice Slasher" color variant of Mega Man, the iconic protagonist from CAPCOM's beloved action game series, "Mega Man" (ROCKMAN). This special release will retail for JPY 8,250.
"Mega Man" stands as one of CAPCOM's most enduring and significant IPs. Beyond the original "Mega Man" series, spin-offs like "Mega Man X" and "Mega Man Battle Network" (Mega Man EXE) have also garnered immense popularity. The latest entry in the classic "Mega Man" series, "Mega Man 11: Gears of Fate," was released in 2018. Merchandise for the franchise continues to enjoy strong demand.
This threezero MDLX Mega Man (Ice Slasher) color variant, whose palette is inspired by the weapon of the original game's boss, Ice Man, largely mirrors the specifications of previous releases. Standing approximately 10.2 cm (about four inches) tall, the figure boasts 34 points of articulation from head to toe. Its robust construction combines metal and plastic parts, providing a satisfying heft and premium feel for dynamic posing, whether running, sliding, shooting, or jumping. Magnets embedded in the feet allow it to attach to metallic surfaces.
For accessories, the figure includes three interchangeable face plates for varied expressions, along with Mega Man's signature weapon, the Mega Buster, which can be mounted on either arm. It also comes with an exclusive Ice Slasher effect part to recreate the projectile's firing pose. This product is a limited release, with only 1,300 units available.
