Bandai's GASHAPON capsule toy brand, known for its popular "Machibōke" series, is releasing a new collection based on the hit anime film "Cosmic Princess Kaguya!" Titled "Cosmic Princess Kaguya! Machibōke," the full set includes four figures and is slated for release in late November 2026!
The anime film "Cosmic Princess Kaguya," exclusively streamed on Netflix, made a significant splash earlier this year with its captivating story and numerous covers of classic Vocaloid songs. The plot follows Sayoha Sakayori, a young girl living alone and juggling a busy life of part-time work and studies. Her only emotional solace comes from the streams of virtual idol Yachiyo Tsukimi. On the brink of mental and physical exhaustion, Sayoha discovers a mysterious baby in a utility pole outside her home. The infant rapidly grows into a young girl who claims to be from the moon, whom Sayoha names Kaguya. As their bond deepens across the real world and the virtual realm of "Tsukuyomi," mysterious forces from the moon emerge, determined to reclaim Kaguya!
The "Cosmic Princess Kaguya! Machibōke" lineup features four distinct figures: "Kaguya (Real World)," "Kaguya (VR)," "Sayoha Sakayori (VR)," and "Yachiyo Tsukimi." Each figure is depicted in the "Machibōke" series' signature crossed-arm sitting pose. Despite their small scale of approximately 4cm, these figures faithfully recreate the intricate design details of all four characters, capturing their adorable appearances!
