Good Smile Company has announced a new addition to its popular figma action figure series: figma Magia Baiser from the anime Gushing over Magical Girls. Priced at 11,000 yen, the figure is scheduled for release in December 2027.
Gushing over Magical Girls follows Utena Hiiragi, a girl who has always admired magical girls. Her dream takes an unexpected turn when she is coerced into transforming into Magia Baiser, an officer of the evil organization Enormeeta. As she battles the magical girls she once idolized, Utena gradually discovers that she takes pleasure in tormenting them and eventually embraces her own desires as a villain. The series combines risqué comedy, yuri elements and a gleefully twisted take on the magical-girl genre.
Standing approximately 14 cm tall, figma Magia Baiser recreates the character’s revealing first-form costume in articulated figure form. Butterfly joints have been incorporated into the shoulders to provide a greater range of motion, while gloss and matte finishes are carefully applied to different areas to reproduce the contrasting textures of her outfit.
The figure includes three face plates: a “standard face,” a leering “delighted face” and a manic “excited face.” Together, they capture Magia Baiser’s distinctive combination of sinister restraint and barely contained excitement. The standard face also features articulated eyes, allowing collectors to adjust the direction of her gaze with the included eye-positioning tool.
Optional parts include two differently shaped riding crops, the magical creature Venalita—who recruited Utena into the evil organization—and a dedicated display stand, along with additional parts for creating a variety of poses.
