Get ready, folks! The adult doujinshi manga, The Socially Awkward Widowed Snow Woman and the Cursed Ring (人付き合いが苦手な未亡人の雪女さんと呪いの指輪), penned by Puzaki Puna, was announced back in late May to be getting a TV anime adaptation, set to premiere in October. Fans were absolutely stoked!
Today, September 4th, the official announcement dropped: the first episode will get an exclusive early premiere on the Japanese streaming platform AnimeFesta starting September 11, 2026. They also unleashed a new promotional video, confirming that we'll be getting both a "television broadcast version" and, yes, an "uncensored version"!

The adult doujinshi manga, The Socially Awkward Widowed Snow Woman and the Cursed Ring, first hit shelves in 2021, followed by two sequels. The third volume is slated for an early October release this year.
The story is set in an era where various races coexist. Our protagonist, Satoru Takahashi, inherits his father's business managing an apartment complex exclusively for yokai after his dad passes away. One day, a stunning beauty with snow-white skin, sapphire eyes, and an incredible figure moves in. She seems to be a bit of a social recluse... To bridge the gap between them, Satoru uses a "Cursed Ring." The ring's power? It lets him control any yokai within its range simply by concentrating his thoughts. And just like that, their relationship begins to blossom....

We know you've all been eagerly awaiting this, and the official word is in: both a "television broadcast version" and an "uncensored version" are confirmed!
It's now confirmed that the "uncensored version" will be exclusively streamed on the Japanese platform AnimeFesta, featuring all the 18+ content that the "television broadcast version" just can't show.

While The Socially Awkward Widowed Snow Woman and the Cursed Ring anime officially kicks off in October, AnimeFesta is giving us an early treat with the first episode premiering on September 11, 2026. And yes, you'll be able to catch both versions right away!

This series is making history as the first adult doujinshi to be directly adapted into a TV anime without a prior commercial serialization! For a fan-made work to get a full anime adaptation? That's a serious industry milestone. We're sure tons of fans are hyped, and as for that highly anticipated "uncensored version," well... let's hope for some official ways to watch it!
