Emerging Chinese model manufacturer Romankey has announced the latest addition to its original articulated figure line, the "PUPA Series," with the new "PPX001 JIJI" action figure. This charming collectible is slated for release in the second quarter of 2027 with a suggested retail price of 268 RMB.
The "PUPA Series" is Romankey's independent world-view universe, which previously launched its first release, the distinctively styled "Ghost Ant." This new JIJI figure emerges with a design reminiscent of a small Kappa or water imp. Standing approximately 9.3 cm tall without its headpiece, JIJI features an "ugly-cute" insect head ornament that reinforces the PUPA Series' insect motif. The figure boasts movable eyes and numerous articulation points throughout its body, allowing for a wide range of dynamic poses.
JIJI comes equipped with a backpack that can be further loaded with various gear, including a water bottle, fishing rod, fish catch, and a fork. Additionally, the figure can wield a shield, a small sword, and a small axe. All accessories feature intricate weathering effects and detailed sculpting. Four sets of interchangeable hands are included for enhanced display options. Romankey has also hinted at future releases of JIJI in different color variations, so collectors should stay tuned for more updates!
