Nintendo Unveils New amiibo: Young Link and Young Zelda from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake, Arriving 2027!

Nintendo's popular "amiibo" figure series, known for its collectible display and in-game item unlocks, has announced new additions. The latest figures, "Young Link" and "Young Zelda," based on the upcoming "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time" remake, are slated for a 2027 release.

Originally released in 1998 for the N64, "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time" marked the series' groundbreaking leap into 3D. It introduced a rich action system blended with intricate map puzzles and debuted various races, significantly expanding the "Zelda" universe for future titles. Players embark on an epic, time-traveling adventure as Link, a young boy from the Kokiri tribe, to thwart the ambitions of the evil Ganondorf. The highly anticipated remake, launching on November 5, 2026, will retain the original's classic stages while boasting vastly improved graphics, full voice acting, and refined action mechanics.

The "amiibo Young Link" and "amiibo Young Zelda" figures will capture the charming yet realistic art style of the upcoming remake. The Young Link amiibo depicts him seated on a tree stump, interacting with his fairy companion, Navi, while the Young Zelda amiibo showcases her holding the "Ocarina of Time" with a gentle smile. Both figures promise intricate detailing, faithfully reproducing the colors and textures of their iconic outfits. Tapping these amiibo to your console while playing "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time" remake will unlock special in-game masks featuring the N64-era designs of Young Link and Young Zelda.
