Japanese model maker MegaHouse has announced the latest addition to its transforming action figure line, "VARIABLE ACTION," with the "VA 2ndLAP Future GPX Cyber Formula 11 Super Asurada SA-01C" from "Future GPX Cyber Formula 11." This highly anticipated release is priced at 26,480 JPY and is slated for May 2027.
The Super Asurada SA-01/C is the second-generation core machine piloted by protagonist Hayato Kazami during the 10th World Cyber Formula Grand Prix in 2015. This upgraded version of the original SA-01 features seasonal modifications and performance enhancements, boasting a transformation system that allows it to switch between Circuit Mode, Rally Mode, and Aero Mode (High-Speed Mode). After overcoming the team's initial struggles with the new machine, the SA-01/C secured consecutive Grand Prix victories in the latter half of the season, ultimately defeating top drivers like Naoki Shinjyo and Bleed Kaga to clinch the 10th World Champion title.
The "VA 2ndLAP Future GPX Cyber Formula 11 Super Asurada SA-01C" is based on the "Super Asurada 01 Ver.2.0" body, which was released in 2024. This new iteration incorporates a brand-new sculpt and newly molded parts, providing a detailed upgrade specifically for the "Super Asurada SA-01/C." It accurately reproduces the SA-01/C's unique rear wing endplate shape and modified underbody panel details, faithfully recreating the racing machine's design.
The model features extensive articulation and transformation capabilities, including front-wheel steering. It allows for the expansion and retraction of the boosters and the deployment of the side aero-fans without the need for part swapping. Additionally, by swapping some parts, collectors can recreate the Aero Mode (High-Speed Mode) and air brake deployment states. The exquisite paint application and detailed body markings showcase an extremely high level of finish.
Pre-ordering through Premium Bandai will also include a bonus acrylic standee featuring newly drawn illustrations of Hayato Kazami and Bleed Kaga, scaled to the machine! Displaying it alongside the vehicle will undoubtedly elevate the thrilling race atmosphere!
