Japanese model maker MegaHouse, known for its "LUPIN THE GALLERY" series that meticulously captures the captivating world of "Lupin the 3rd," is celebrating the 55th anniversary of the anime's broadcast with the highly anticipated fourth installment: the "Lupin the 3rd LUPIN THE GALLERY 55th Limited Model." Priced at 16,500 JPY, this new release is scheduled for March 2027.
The protagonist of Japanese manga artist Monkey Punch's "Lupin the 3rd" is Lupin, the grandson of the phantom thief Arsène Lupin. A master of thievery, he is skilled in disguise, escape, and deception—all techniques essential for his elaborate heists. Known as the world's greatest thief, he famously sends calling cards before his capers. Alongside his companions—the alluring femme fatale Fujiko Mine, master marksman Daisuke Jigen, and iaido expert Goemon Ishikawa XIII—he pilfers treasures from around the globe. Even with the relentless pursuit of the ever-one-step-behind Inspector Koichi Zenigata, there's nothing they can't steal.
As the fourth installment celebrating the 55th anniversary, the "Lupin the 3rd LUPIN THE GALLERY 55th Limited Model" continues the series' tradition of exploring the "Lupin the 3rd" universe through iconic vehicles and characters. This release perfectly recreates Lupin's beloved car, which appeared in the final episode of the first anime series, "The Golden Showdown!", at approximately 1/20 scale. The original sculpt is based on the first "LUPIN THE GALLERY" release from 2017, "San Marino Album," re-imagining the FIAT 500 with an ice blue paint scheme. Included are same-scale figures of Lupin in his green jacket and yellow tie, and Jigen in his blue shirt, perfectly recreating the scene from the first anime series' final episode! It also comes with an acrylic display base featuring the 55th-anniversary logo.
