MegaHouse, a prominent Japanese toy company, has announced a re-release for its highly popular "Full Scale Works Mobile Suit Gundam Char Aznable Stahlhelm." This 1/1 scale replica, part of the "Full Scale Works" series known for faithfully recreating popular anime character masks and helmets, was originally launched in 2019 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of "Mobile Suit Gundam." The helmet is priced at 29,700 JPY (tax included) and is slated for a March 2027 release.
From "Mobile Suit Gundam" comes the charismatic antagonist, Char Aznable. His iconic look features a horned helmet, rarely revealing his true face, and a distinctive red uniform. He frequently stood against the White Base and the Gundam, often suffering defeat but always managing to escape, making him Amuro Ray's greatest rival. His true identity is Casval Rem Deikun, son of Zeon Zum Deikun, the founder of the Republic of Zeon (later reorganized into the Principality of Zeon). Possessing Newtype potential and top-tier Mobile Suit piloting skills, he earned the moniker "The Red Comet."
The "1/1 Scale Char Aznable Stahlhelm" stands approximately 30 cm tall and is crafted with entirely new molds. The main body is made from lightweight ABS plastic, with intricate details along the edges meticulously sculpted. The visor beneath the helmet can be detached, allowing for a display option where only the visor is worn. Utilizing a mirrored sticker material, it faithfully recreates its on-screen appearance while maintaining transparency. Wear it, and you can instantly transform into Colonel Char, becoming the center of attention! It also includes a dedicated display stand adorned with the Principality of Zeon emblem, making it a stylish display piece even when not worn.
