Japanese model manufacturer Megahouse has announced the latest addition to its Mobile Suit Gundam action figure line, the G.M.G. (Gundam Military Generation) series. The new product, "G.M.G. COLLECTION EX Newtype Awakening," is slated for release in March 2027.
The G.M.G. series features highly articulated Mobile Suit Gundam soldier action figures, standing approximately 10 cm tall. Beyond generic military personnel, the lineup also includes popular and recognizable characters such as Amuro, Char, and Sayla. These figures boast full articulation from head to toe, including the arms, torso, and legs. They come packed with a wealth of military equipment, weapons, and even personal effects like rations and magazines, allowing collectors to recreate various battlefield scenarios.
The "G.M.G. COLLECTION EX Newtype Awakening" set includes articulated figures of both Char Aznable and Lalah Sune, along with a sofa and other rich accessories. This allows fans to recreate the iconic scene from the Mobile Suit Gundam anime's Episode 34, where Char and Lalah watch the White Base's battle from a room in the Side 6 colony, and Lalah senses the awakening of Gundam pilot Amuro Ray's Newtype abilities.
Regarding accessories, Lalah comes with interchangeable facial expression parts and various hand gestures, which are also included in the standard release. Additionally, she features an interchangeable lower body part specifically designed for sitting poses. Char's accessories include multiple hand gestures, a mug, a rifle, a head sculpt with his helmet removed, and a bare-faced head sculpt from the theatrical version where he removes his mask.
