Megahouse, a Japanese figure manufacturer, has announced the latest addition to its "GGG (Gundam Girls Generation)" character figure series. This popular line brings female characters from the "Mobile Suit Gundam" franchise to life with exquisite sculpting. The new release, "Cagalli Yula Athha Pilot Suit Ver.," hails from the theatrical anime film "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM" and is slated for a February 2027 release.
Cagalli Yula Athha is the fraternal twin sister of Kira Yamato. Shortly after birth, she was adopted by Uzumi Nara Athha, then the representative of the Orb Union. Despite her status as a "princess" of a neutral nation, Cagalli received formal training at the Orb Military Academy during her student years. She even personally led the resistance organization "Desert Dawn" in Africa against the formidable ZAFT commander, Andrew Waltfeld, known as the "Desert Tiger." She possesses excellent physical stamina and Mobile Suit (MS) piloting skills. Witnessing the world's devastation solidified Cagalli's resolve to protect her nation and dedicate herself to peace, ultimately leading her to inherit her father's will and become the new Chief Representative of Orb.
The "GGG Cagalli Yula Athha Pilot Suit Ver." figure stands approximately 25 cm tall. It captures Cagalli's appearance from a post-credits scene added to the special theatrical release of "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM," depicting her with her pilot suit half-removed and showcasing the ring given to her by Athrun. The overall sculpting meticulously renders the intricate folds of her suit and Cagalli's slender figure. Rich color applications further enhance the figure, illustrating the subtle light and shadow variations on her hair and clothing.
