World-renowned Hong Kong toy manufacturer Hot Toys has revealed a new limited edition product based on the film "Avengers: Doomsday": the Victor Von Doom 1/6th scale collectible action figure. This figure will be limited to just 3,000 units worldwide in select markets!
Marvel's classic villain Doctor Doom first appeared in 1962 in "Fantastic Four" #5. His real name is Victor Von Doom, hailing from the fictional nation of Latveria. A master of both magic and science, he is a perennial archenemy of the Fantastic Four. Doom has played a significant role in numerous major comic events, establishing himself as a pivotal antagonist in the Marvel Universe. What's even more exciting is that Robert Downey Jr. is set to portray Doctor Doom in the upcoming "Avengers: Doomsday" film later this year!
Following the previously revealed armored Doctor Doom figures, including the preview version and the Deluxe Ultimate Edition, this Victor Von Doom figure is inspired by his cloaked appearance when crossing borders, according to official descriptions. It features a newly sculpted helmeted headsculpt meticulously capturing his deep, calculating gaze, with individually rolling eyeballs for adjustable line of sight. Unlike his fully armored battle form, this iteration showcases an outfit designed for travel and agile movement. The costume meticulously recreates details like his green tunic and dark green hooded cloak using a combination of fabric and leather materials. The cloak even includes embedded wires, allowing collectors to pose it dynamically for flowing effects, and fastens to Victor's body with magnetic silver buckles and metal chains!
Accessories include multiple interchangeable hands, translucent green flame effects, and a pair of spell-casting hands surrounded by translucent green and black magical crackle effects. Combined with the figure's full articulation and a specially designed display base, collectors can realistically recreate his powerful magic-wielding scenes. For an even more imposing display, this figure can be paired with the previously released "Doctor Doom's Throne," showcasing his ultimate dominion!
