World-renowned Hong Kong toy manufacturer Hot Toys has announced a new Marvel Comics-themed exclusive: the "Superior Iron Man (Infamous Neon Version)" 1/6th scale collectible figure. This limited edition release will see only 2,500 units available worldwide in select markets!
Superior Iron Man first appeared in the 2014 Marvel Comics event, "Axis." This darker iteration of Tony Stark emerged after his morality was inverted by a magical spell. In the "Axis" storyline, heroes and villains swapped personalities; while most characters eventually reverted to their original selves, Tony successfully resisted the re-inversion. He retained his inverted, villainous personality, becoming a narcissistic, ruthless, and extremely dangerous tech tyrant.
This "Superior Iron Man (Infamous Neon Version)" appears to be a vibrant repaint of the previously released standard version. Crafted with diecast material, the figure faithfully recreates the armor's sleek, high-tech appearance. It showcases intricate mechanical details, articulated back flaps, and internal structures beneath the removable chest armor. The figure features a glossy metallic electroplated black finish, with the LED light-up functions in the arms, palms, legs, abdomen, and arc reactor now glowing a mysterious green. This combination creates an ultimately sleek and profound dark aesthetic.
Accessories include multiple interchangeable hands, featuring fully articulated fingers, allowing for a wide range of dynamic poses to complement the figure's full articulation. Also included are black liquid smart-metal effect accessories, which can be attached to his forearms to highlight the armor's shapeshifting and organic properties. The figure can be perfectly displayed on its specially designed black and green themed base, complete with LED light-up functions.
