Japanese model manufacturer Studio SYUTO has announced its latest product: the "Videotape" 1/2 Scale Plastic Model Kit, with a suggested retail price of 2,420 JPY, slated for release in December 2026!
Relive the memories of a bygone era with Studio SYUTO's "Videotape Plastic Model Kit," presented in a 1/2 scale. Each set includes three videotapes, meticulously recreating the cassette tape body in a palm-sized form factor of approximately 5 cm. The kit finely reproduces the videotape's structure, including shell details, and comes with label stickers for users to write their own titles, as well as tape accessories that allow for the magnetic tape to be manually spun with a finger. The iconic breakable write-protect tab on the side is also faithfully reproduced!
