Following a successful run of releases from the animated "Spider-Man" film series, Japanese toy company Sentinel has officially announced the next highly anticipated addition to its popular SV-Action action figure line: Miles G. Morales from "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse". This exciting new figure is set to retail for 15,000 JPY and is scheduled for a March 2027 launch!
Hailing from Earth-42, Miles G. Morales exists in a universe where the very spider that would have bestowed Spider-Man's powers upon him was instead transported to the protagonist Miles' dimension. This crucial shift left Earth-42 without its web-slinging protector, leading to a surge in unchecked violence. Tragically, Miles G. Morales' father, a police captain, lost his life in the line of duty. Under the tutelage of his uncle, Aaron, the former Prowler, Miles G. Morales embraced the mantle of the new Prowler. The dramatic conclusion of "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" saw protagonist Miles, due to his unique spider DNA, inadvertently stranded on Earth-42 and subsequently apprehended by this formidable uncle-nephew pair. The film left audiences on a cliffhanger, with Miles attempting to negotiate his way out of their custody. Recent trailers for the upcoming installment strongly suggest a massive showdown as Miles fights for his freedom!
The SV-Action Miles G. Morales figure stands approximately 15 cm (5.9 inches) tall. In contrast to Aaron's bulkier Prowler, Miles' version boasts a noticeably slimmer silhouette, with a trendier and more high-tech outfit design. The figure meticulously recreates his cinematic appearance, featuring clear parts for the mask's eyes. His signature massive claws are faithfully rendered with sharp lines, and clear effect parts are included to convey a dynamic sense of attack power. Furthermore, the purple painted areas on his suit, along with the eyes and clear effect parts, are designed to glow under UV light, allowing collectors to recreate those intense, lurking-on-the-rafters scenes from the film!
The SV-Action series' renowned articulation allows for a wide array of dynamic and cool action poses. Coupled with the included display stand, collectors can unleash powerful, intimidating stances. For expression, the figure comes with two unmasked head sculpts: one featuring a subtle sideways glance, and another perfectly capturing that iconic, condescending gaze at protagonist Miles Spider-Man from the film's climax. This arrogant scowl is recreated with incredible detail! Fans won't want to miss out on this!
