From BANDAI SPIRITS' BANPRESTO 269 brand comes the popular "MATCH MAKERS" series, known for capturing the intense battle charm between two characters. Their latest release from the hit anime "Dragon Ball" is the "MATCH MAKERS Son Goku (VS Grandpa Gohan)", which launched on September 10, 2026!
This new item recreates the iconic scene where Son Goku, seeking the Dragon Balls, turns to Fortuneteller Baba for help. He agrees to fight her five warriors, with the final opponent being a mysterious figure in a fox mask. This fighter's true identity is none other than Goku's adoptive father, "Grandpa Gohan" – Master Roshi's top disciple, who raised Goku and taught him martial arts. Tragically, Grandpa Gohan was accidentally crushed by Goku in his Great Ape form when Goku was a child. Later, he asked Fortuneteller Baba to temporarily bring him back from the Other World to test Goku. He ultimately conceded the match, allowing Goku to receive a fortune-telling.
The "MATCH MAKERS Son Goku (VS Grandpa Gohan)" stands approximately 13 cm tall, capturing young Son Goku in a dynamic charging pose. His face and hands feature dirt paint applications, perfectly conveying his disheveled appearance after facing a powerful opponent. Both his gi and tail are meticulously sculpted with intricate wrinkles and fur details. When paired with the separately sold "MATCH MAKERS Grandpa Gohan (VS Son Goku)", collectors can fully recreate the intense, heart-to-heart battle between father and son!
