BANDAI Co., Ltd. has announced the latest release in their TOKUSATSU ACTION FIGURE (TAF) series: the "Kamen Rider MAOU" from "Kamen Rider MY-TH," slated for release on September 19, 2026.
The latest installment in the Kamen Rider series for 2026, "Kamen Rider MY-TH," delves into events 100 years prior to its main story. During that time, Riders who transformed using animal powers formed the "Zyunishi Doumei" to protect the world from attacking monsters known as the Inexplicable. However, their leader, "Kamen Rider MY-TH," suddenly betrayed the alliance, and the remaining members subsequently fell into a century-long slumber, leaving many mysteries unsolved.
In the present day, an elegant mansion is home to the sarcastic butler Sora Otosumi and the innocent young lady Yuna Mizuki. Sora Otosumi possesses the power to transform into "Kamen Rider MY-TH" and, with Yuna Mizuki's support, battles the monsters known as the Inexplicable. Meanwhile, the "Zyunishi Doumei" awakens in this era, but with a new, unexpected leader: Kamuri Minetaka, who transforms into "Kamen Rider MAOU." Upon learning of MY-TH's existence, he initiates a covert hunt, setting the stage for an intense clash between these two major factions.
The "TAF Kamen Rider MAOU" stands approximately 15 cm tall. Aside from the transformation driver, its sculpt and colors closely replicate the on-screen suit, with its characteristic red rendered in two distinct shades of molded plastic. Featuring 38 points of articulation, including pull-out mechanisms in the shoulders, chest, and waist, this figure boasts an enhanced range of neck articulation compared to previously released ZEZTZ series characters. Designed to meet Japan's "suitable for ages 3 and up" safety standards, it ensures safe play for younger fans.
