BANDAI SPIRITS' BANDAI HOBBY brand, renowned for its robot-themed "HG" (High Grade) plastic model kit series, has officially announced the latest addition from the anime "Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion": the "HG 1/35 Lancelot," slated for release in December 2026. This product will be exclusively available through BANDAI's official online store, Premium Bandai.
The Z-01 Lancelot is a 7th-generation prototype Knightmare Frame developed by Britannian Empire scientist Lloyd Asplund. Its Core Luminous power source, internal structure, and exterior armor are all constructed with significantly more Sakuradite than previous models, allowing it to generate immense power instantly and achieve astonishing combat capabilities. It comes equipped with powerful armaments such as the Maser Vibration Sword (MVS), VARIS (Variable Ammunition Repulsion Impact Spitfire), and the Blaze Luminous energy shield. The Lancelot can rapidly break through enemy lines using its leg-mounted landspinners, and for aerial combat, it can be outfitted with a Float System on its back. However, its operational time is severely limited, and it requires specific conditions to pilot effectively, leading to its assignment to Suzaku Kururugi, who possesses exceptional physical prowess and piloting skills.
The "HG 1/35 Lancelot" meticulously recreates its striking new proportions and knight-armor-like design using newly molded parts. Its body and weaponry are extensively reproduced with rich multi-colored molded parts in white, gold, and red. The "Fact Spheres" on both sides of its chest feature an unfolding gimmick. The kit boasts modern HG-level articulation, with multiple movable joints throughout its body, allowing collectors to pose it in dynamic stances for close-quarters combat, rifle shooting, and high-speed gliding. This new release showcases a significant leap in technology over the past two decades compared to the "1/35 Mechanic Collection Lancelot" released in 2007.
Accessories include two Maser Vibration Swords (MVS), the VARIS (Variable Ammunition Repulsion Impact Spitfire) which can deploy to recreate its Hadron Cannon mode, clear green effect parts for the Blaze Luminous, and parts to display the wrist and waist-mounted Slash Harkens in their deployed state. Furthermore, this kit features an original gimmick: it can combine with the separately sold "Zi-Artemis" to recreate an alternative "Zi-Ortega" form and expand play possibilities.
