BANDAI SPIRITS to Open New BANDAI HOBBY CENTER Osaka Plastic Model Factory This November, Boosting Production and Export Logistics

BANDAI SPIRITS, the Japanese company behind popular plastic model kits like the "Gunpla" series from "Mobile Suit Gundam," has announced that its brand-new plastic model production facility, "BANDAI HOBBY CENTER Osaka," located in the West Japan region, is set to officially open in November 2026. This new factory is expected to establish a more stable production system and more efficient export logistics. Through coordinated efforts between its Shizuoka and Osaka bases, BANDAI SPIRITS aims to deliver high-value products to fans worldwide.

The new "BANDAI HOBBY CENTER Osaka" factory is situated within a large logistics facility, "MFLP Sakai," in Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture. Spanning approximately 3,360.85 square meters of total floor area, the facility will house seven multi-color molding machines developed in-house by BANDAI SPIRITS. While its current production capacity will be lower than the Shizuoka factory, its primary advantage lies in superior transportation convenience. This strategic location will leverage nearby logistics centers and West Japan's international ports to significantly enhance export logistics efficiency.
