Japanese toy brand Electric Toys is releasing a new product under its SOFVIPS (ソフビップス) soft vinyl figure series: the "Kankichi Ryotsu" soft vinyl figure, based on the popular classic anime "KochiKame: Tokyo Beat Cops". This new collectible is priced at 17,600 JPY and is slated for an April 2026 release.
Manga artist Osamu Akimoto's "KochiKame: Tokyo Beat Cops", serialized from 1976 to 2016, holds the record as the longest-running series in "Weekly Shonen Jump". The series was adapted into a TV anime by STUDIO GALLOP from 1996 to 2004, and it remains a beloved classic for many collectors. To commemorate its 50th anniversary, an all-new TV anime, "New KochiKame: Tokyo Beat Cops", has been officially announced for next year, generating immense excitement among fans!
