Emerging Chinese model manufacturer LADoTOYS announced in August their plans to release 1/12 scale action figures based on the spin-off project "Ultra Kaiju Anthropomorphic Project" (ウルトラ怪獣擬人化計画), which stems from the classic Tokusatsu series "Ultraman" (ウルトラマン). Following yesterday's reveal of the first release, Gomora, they have now announced the second product in the lineup: the "Space Dinosaur Zetton" (ゼットン). Further details will be revealed at a later date.
The "Ultra Kaiju Anthropomorphic Project" is a special initiative launched by Tsuburaya Productions in 2013 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Ultraman series. Its main concept involves anthropomorphizing iconic kaiju from the Ultraman series, releasing two "Kaiju Girls" per month. This project later expanded into various media, including manga, novels, anime, games, and figures. Following the broadcast of the anime "SSSS.GRIDMAN," kaiju from the Gridman series were also added to the Kaiju Girl roster.
The original form of the second release, "Space Dinosaur Zetton," first appeared in episode 39 of "Ultraman." Its signature attack is the one-trillion-degree fireball. Upon its debut, Zetton's immense power pushed the original Ultraman into a desperate struggle, even defeating him at one point, making it the first kaiju in history to successfully defeat Ultraman. It was ultimately defeated only by the Science Patrol's secret weapon, the "Anti-Gravity Missile." The Kaiju Girl version was illustrated by artist Ookuma Pandsuke (@panda_ookuma) and appeared in the anime "Kaiju Girls: Ultra Kaiju Anthropomorphic Project." She is depicted as the undisputed champion of "Great Monster Battle" and the strongest Kaiju Girl among the GIRLS. Known for her quiet and solitary nature, she can utilize her signature flame attacks and defensive force fields, always making a grand appearance in the most critical moments. She is a coveted Kaiju Girl, embodying both beauty and strength.
