Every Halloween, people unleash their creativity with costumes inspired by fictional characters and public figures—and Hollywood stars are no exception. This year, Zendaya recreated Halle Berry’s iconic 2000 look, wearing the French fashion house Lanvin’s yellow bikini top with matching wide-leg pants. Berry was thrilled by the tribute and even reposted it to her Instagram Stories, but online reactions were far more divided.

After Zendaya’s photos hit Instagram, some fans praised the look as cute and sexy. Others, however, zeroed in on the difference between Zendaya’s and Berry’s busts, dismissing the recreation as the “Temu version”—a phrase used to mock something as a cheap, low-quality imitation, referencing the Chinese shopping platform. Other comments were even more brutal: “Is she supposed to be 11-year-old Halle before puberty?” “This is Halle without the berries,” one user joked, using Berry’s last name as a pun about her chest. Another wrote, “She seems to be missing one accessory. Actually... make that two.”
