Japanese prize and capsule toy maker Parade is transforming the adorable cats of illustrator Juno’s mofusand into plump little mushrooms for its new “Mushroom Cat Face Plush Charms” collection. Each fuzzy mushroom cap frames a tiny feline face with glistening eyes and a sweet little mouth. The series features five designs, priced at 500 yen per pull, and is scheduled for release in early November 2026.
After dressing the cats in crispy costumes for the previously featured fried shrimp cat capsule toy series, Parade is now giving them a fungal makeover. The lineup includes “Mushroom Cat A,” “Mushroom Cat B,” “Button Mushroom Cat,” “Shiitake Cat,” and “King Oyster Mushroom Cat.” The first two wear red and orange caps covered in white spots, while Button Mushroom Cat sports a fluffy, rounded white cap. Shiitake Cat comes topped with a thick brown cap, and King Oyster Mushroom Cat stretches its entire body into the fungus’s signature elongated shape. Look closely, and you’ll also notice that every cat has its own fur pattern and expression.
