SEGA’s SEGA PRIZE FIGURIZMα line is following up its acclaimed FIGURIZMα Hatsune Miku -Punk!- figure with another Hatsune Miku release: FIGURIZMα Hatsune Miku -midnight-, scheduled to hit arcades in spring 2027!
FIGURIZMα Hatsune Miku -midnight- is based on original artwork by illustrator Oyo (@ohyg3), giving Miku a rebellious, rock-inspired midnight makeover. Her signature twin-tails fade to black at the ends, while sharply defined eyeliner and narrowed eyes bring out a more mature side of the virtual singer. An all-black outfit loaded with metallic accessories completes the dark punk aesthetic. The sleeve on her left arm and the stockings covering her legs feature a sheer painted finish, complete with torn sections that visibly press into her skin.
Multiple paint applications recreate the contrasting textures of her outfit, right down to her black-painted fingernails. Her forward-leaning pose adds a relaxed yet playful attitude, making the sculpt feel especially lively. Both the pose and the figure’s center of gravity have been handled exceptionally well. The design sparked a huge response across social media as soon as it was revealed, and collectors can look forward to more official photos from additional angles.
